FACTORY PEDAL Series - Faster production speed and lower product prices while maintaining pedal quality -

The Mighty Red Distortion (MRD) by BJF Design is a high-gain distortion pedal modeled after the compression gain sound style of the late 80's.

Despite its extremely simple controls, the MRD is tuned to provide clarity and definition even at heavy distortion levels. It offers a wide gain range, from low distortion to a gain-stacked sound when combined with other pedals. Using an overdrive pedal like the Little Green Wonder as a predrive allows the MRD to produce an extremely focused sound. To achieve an excellent signal-to-noise ratio at these high gain levels, the MRD does not employ a noise gate or expander; instead, it uses special amplification technology and an extremely low-noise amplifier stage. This results in a natural decay, but consumes more current than usual when using batteries.

The MRD delivers the coveted '80s sound, but with unprecedented low noise and versatility. The Presence control is designed to control the upper treble but not the upper midrange, so you can get the highs you want. From fat, warm, singing distortion to screaming lead sounds, you can dial it in at will.
