Blackstar HT-STAGE 100H MkIII (Black Star)

The flagship HT Stage 100 MK III guitar amplifier head uses a quartet of carefully selected EL34 power valves to deliver 100W of British dynamics across three channels, offering six voices for incredible tonal versatility.

The "boutique" style clean channel has two modes: "British Class A" and "Dynamic US."

The HT Stage 100H MK III is the ultimate amplifier, offering breakthrough clean, rich full overdrive and maximum control and flexibility from the studio to the stage.

■Voice switches found on other amplifiers typically make subtle changes to the existing sound, shifting the tone control or adding a slight boost.
In the HT Venue MKIII, each voice switch makes radical and far-reaching circuit changes to both the preamp and power amp, including EQ voicing, tone stack position in the circuit, gain, and power amp damping, providing unique tone control flexibility.

■CabRig overcomes the shortcomings of IR snapshots and uses cutting-edge digital processing to reproduce the sound and nuances of a miked-up guitar cabinet in astonishing detail.
Over 250 mic and cabinet combinations can be stored across three slots.
Each cabinet type allows you to select the mic type and axis, alongside room mics and master EQ, and when you connect to the free Architect software you get even deeper options.

■USB-C connection allows you to send up to four channels of guitar signals (clean/dry, preamp out, stereo emulated out) to your PC for recording.
Being able to record all four channels at once makes tracking guitar parts incredibly easy and gives you flexibility in your mix.

■Power reduction is achieved by controlling the internal operating voltage of the power stage by changing the reactance of the output transformer/speaker, rather than the load resistance, which has an undesirable effect on the tone.
The result is limited output without affecting the tone shaping of the output stage and feedback loop, so the basic tone remains the same, but the power amp drive occurs at lower volume levels, giving the feel of a fully turned-up small tube amp.

■Two types of reverb are available: DARK and LIGHT.
DARK is based on room reverb, LIGHT is based on plate reverb.
The reverb time can be adjusted separately for the clean and OD channels using the software "Architect".
