Description
FRH10 Nylon Electric Guitar

A nylon-string guitar for electric guitar players.

I want to incorporate the nylon-string sound in a casual way. I want a nylon-string guitar that I can play without feeling too different from my usual electric guitar. And it would be great if it was an instrument that's fun not only on stage but also as a living room guitar.

The Ibanez FRH10N is a nylon-string electric guitar, developed with those concepts in mind.

When strummed acoustically, its natural nylon string sound envelops the player, and when plugged in, its distortiond nylon sound evokes a new era, adding a new chapter to your playing experience.

◆FR-shaped hollow body with side ports (with fan bracing)
Based on the single-cut Ibanez original FR shape, this hollow-body guitar has a thickness of approximately 50mm and features fan bracing on the top (outer surface), which is common in classical guitars. There is no sound hole on the front of the body, but a sound port is equipped on the player-side of the body.
It offers a comfortable playing experience that's not significantly different from an electric guitar, while also providing a natural nylon string sound.

◆46mm nut width / 400mm radius fingerboard: The nut width is between that of a typical classical guitar and an electric guitar, and the fingerboard has a 400mm radius.
Designed with electric guitar players in mind, this guitar features specifications that set it apart from classical guitars, ensuring smooth fingering.
Furthermore, this instrument, which pioneers a new category of nylon-string electric guitars, features a slightly lower string action compared to typical classical guitars that don't mind even buzzing.

◆Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle Pickup: This original piezo pickup is highly resistant to noise and produces a natural sound with a wide frequency range.

◆Ibanez AEQ210T preamp w/ Onboard tuner
This preamp features a 2-band EQ for treble and bass, a tuner, and a phase shift switch. The jack is integrated with the battery box.
It is powered by one 9V battery.

◆Solid Sitka spruce top, sapele body sides & back

◆Rosewood fingerboard and bridge

◆D'Addario XTC45 strings (.028/.032/.040/.028W/.035W/.044W)
