WHAT IS THE MOTOR PEDAL?
An electro-mechanical synthesizer that tracks the pitch of your performance in real time.

It can be played as a melodic doubler and harmony creator, or used as a powerful and versatile drone generator, and even distorts and shapes your instrument sounds using the X-MOD and vocoder engines.

This isn't an emulation.
This is neither an emulation nor an analog modeling. It is the result of pushing the raw sound of a brushed DC motor to its limits and precisely controlling it.

HOW IT WORKS
MOTOR Pedal analyzes the output signal of your instrument using a real-time pitch tracker.
Whether it's a guitar, bass, or microphone, the motor's rotation speed is precisely synchronized to the fundamental frequency of the note you're playing.
For example, if the input is 440Hz, the motor must rotate 146 times per second.
A precisely tuned inductor captures the actual motion of the rotating coils inside the motor and converts that mechanical energy into an audio signal.

Five motor-based synthesis engines
MOTOR Pedal is equipped with five unique and powerful sound engines based on a motor core.

MOTOR - A raw motor sound created by picking up the rotating coil directly with an electromagnetic pickup. A glitchy, humming, magnetic sound.
MXD - Cross modulation of motorized and digital waveforms, creating harsh, distorted and metallic textures.
M-WAVE - A digital oscillator that is pitch-locked and hard-synced to the motor output. A multi-timbral synth capable of handling multiple tones, it retains the soul of an imperfect machine.
COIL MODE - Instead of using DC voltage to spin a motor, AC current is passed through a coil to create a resonant analog vibration and metallic hum. This innovative sound method is like nostalgia on steroids.
VOCODER MODE - A 24-band digital vocoder that uses the motor output as the carrier and your instrument signal as the modulator.
Whether it's your voice, a song, or a guitar solo, you can speak directly through this machine.

Parameter Control
Analog Tone Boost - Powerful tilt EQ (tilt-type equalizer) for adjusting the character of the motor output.
TWO VOLUME KNOBS - Two volume knobs that allow you to adjust the dry signal and motor output independently.
Motor drive - A drive circuit that adds heavy analog distortion to the motor output.
Envelope - Adjustable from short percussive staccato to envelope follower to long release.
glide - applies a portamento (smooth transition of pitch) curve to the motor engine.
Vibrato – classic pitch modulation, from subtle fluctuations to intense oscillations.
Motor Interval Selector - Allows you to offset the motor pitch by ±1 octave, perfect fifth, or perfect fourth.
X-MOD Mode - Amplitude modulation mode that cross-modulates the input signal with the entire motor engine.

STEP ON THE GAS
The MOTOR Pedal is equipped with a multi-function gas pedal. By switching the operation mode, you can freely control the motor's pitch and behavior.

ACCELERATOR - Smoothly controls pitch shifts and accelerates the motor to redline when pressed.
RAKE - Pitch descending mode. Pressing the pedal creates the effect of stalling the motor.
CLUTCH - Temporarily disconnects the motor and pitch tracker, ideal for creating drones.
VOLUME - Intuitively control the volume swell with this spring-loaded pedal.
DRIFT - You can delicately manipulate the pedal to create a vibrato-like effect, or you can depress it to completely disrupt the sound.

Durability
MOTOR Pedal uses a specially designed brushed DC electromotor block as its core sound engine.
Over time, the motor brushes will wear down and the motor block will eventually need to be replaced, at which point the "CHECK ENGINE" light on the pedal will turn orange and then red to let you know it's time to replace it.

The replaceable motor block has a service life of approximately 3,000-5,000 hours.
The replacement process is extremely simple, just like changing a vacuum tube in an amplifier. No professional maintenance is required, and users can easily replace the motor themselves.
