A high-quality used guitar, specially selected by Ikebe staff at the Nashville Custom Shop Factory and featuring a color not found in the catalog, has arrived!
Made in 2023. Enjoy the rich appearance created by the superb wood grain and the beautiful combination of gray, orange, and cherry in the Sunset Tiger Fade Gloss finish, which is not available in the catalog!
Established in 1993, the Gibson Custom Shop is dedicated to creating the ultimate electric guitars and basses through long-cultivated high-level manufacturing techniques, an insatiable spirit of inquiry, and carefully selected materials. Even today, the Custom Shop lineup, crafted using traditional handcrafting methods and thoroughly researched vintage knowledge, boasts unparalleled craftsmanship and will become the ultimate instrument to endlessly ignite the inspiration within each player.
Based on the 2018 model, which largely follows the True Historic specifications of the ultimate reissue model released in 2015, this cutting-edge Custom Shop Les Paul Standard has been refined with even greater attention to detail. In addition to a revised color scheme for the "Les Paul MODEL" silkscreen on the headstock, which could be called its "face," the Gibson logo design has also been changed to a more original, edgy design. The inlays, including the fretboard position markers, are made of cellulose material that is naturally dark in color rather than being colored, further enhancing the overall feel.
This guitar, with its Sunset Tiger Fade finish (not available in the catalog), truly showcases the beauty of a '59 Les Paul. Boasting a Les Paul-like weight of 4.03kg, its rich, resonant tone will delight you even before you plug it into an amp!
The 1959 Les Paul's unique wood grain and color, which change depending on the angle and how the light hits it, recreates the distinctive look and playability of vintage guitars from Gibson's Golden Era. While aging treatments by Murphy Lab are now standard on 1959 models, this model features a gloss finish. The metal parts also do not have rust or tarnish, making it a must-have for those who don't like weather checking or aging treatments!
The neck shape is the "Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape," which is neither too thick nor too thin, making it suitable for modern playing styles.
The pickups continue to be the Custombucker Alnico III, which has become a standard model in recent years. You will be able to experience an exquisite sound that can only be found in this instrument, with its crisp bite and rich tonal balance that only this particular instrument can provide.
It features newly installed bumblebee-type paper-oil capacitors and 500k CTS potentiometers that pursue a vintage curve. Compared to standard 500kΩ potentiometers, the high frequencies are not drastically cut even when the volume is turned down, allowing you to freely control everything from clean to overdrive sounds with just your hands. Distortion is maintained from the 10 to 6 mark, and then smoothly decreases from 6 to 1, allowing for expressive playing depending on the length of the volume control.
Weighing in at 4.03kg, this guitar produces a rich, full-bodied sound with excellent resonance across all frequencies. Its sound is so versatile, it feels like it can handle everything from distorted tones to sweet clean tones.
Gibson, with its meticulous attention to vintage details, presents the latest specifications that are sure to enrich your guitar life! This is a guitar you definitely want to experience for yourself!
We have just received some highly recommended, high-quality used items!
There are some minor scratches, pick scratches on the pickguard, small original paint indentations between the front and rear pickups, and some tarnishing on the parts, but none of these affect playability. Overall, it is in beautiful condition! We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is ready to use immediately.
The frets have been leveled and are ready to use. Approximately 90% of the fret life remains.
The nuts are in good working order and function normally. The truss rods also function correctly for normal adjustments.
Accessories include the original brown hard case, keys, serial number tag, black SW plate, Pre-Pack Checklist, and Japanese Owner's Manual.
