A fretted modified Jaco tribute JB made by Custom Shop.
Jaco Pastorius is a bassist who has had a profound influence on countless musicians, not just bassists, and captivates with his instantly recognizable phrasing and sound. The Jaco Tribute JB is a faithful reproduction of the 1962 Jazz Bass, which is perhaps the most recognizable of his basses.
The hard-hitting relic treatment, which boldly recreates the damage caused by hard playing, gives this guitar a stately look. Not only have the tarnished parts and peeling paint been recreated, but even the darkening of the neck has been recreated, as you'd expect from a Custom Shop. Not only has the pickguard been removed, leaving the screw hole marks intact, but the sunburst red finish has been removed from the area under the pickguard, just like in the original, and the flat chrome knobs are used, highlighting the attention to detail that is unique to this model.
The coating on the fingerboard of this instrument has been removed, and the frets have been hammered in and adjusted, and it appears that the nut has also been replaced.
There are some slap marks and scratches from adjusting the rod that appear to have been made later, but it can be used without any problems when playing.
There is ample room for the truss rod, and the neck is currently in good condition.
