Iridium delivers a tube amp, unprecedentedly realistic speaker cabinet impulse responses, and natural room ambience—all in one unit. Its unprecedented cabinet emulation features three amps, each with three different IR data. Furthermore, to accommodate a wide range of applications, the unit supports pedal and line inputs at different levels, as well as mono and stereo inputs. The speaker cabinet emulation in Iridium delivers unprecedented realism. It utilizes the most advanced stereo 24-bit 96kHz, 500msec impulse response data available. Until now, this level of resolution was only available in some studio recording software (convolution). Iridium now brings the highest quality IR realism to your pedalboard.
■Adjustable room ambience
Iridium's room emulation uses a hybrid system that uses a 256msec impulse response and supplements the reverberant tail with Strymon's reverb algorithm, allowing it to perfectly recreate the ambience of rooms of different sizes, while still retaining the breathiness and natural reflections of the sound emanating from the speakers.
■Other uses
Want to use just the amp section of the Iridium? In this case, select Cab Bypass mode and connect the output to the return or power amp input of your guitar amp.
If you want to use only the IR Cab section of the Iridium, select Amp Bypass mode and connect your preamp or preamp pedal output to the Iridium's input.
Iridium is used as an amp or cabinet tone, so do not connect its output to a guitar amp (input).
