The GOLDEN ACORN OVERDRIVE SPECIAL is a Dumble amp-in-a-box that captures the characteristics common to Dumble. Oddly enough, it's built with a similar structure to the Sonic Blue Twanger, the blackface pedal that stunned the world. Just as many of the originals are based on vintage blackface pedals, the GOLDEN ACORN OVERDRIVE SPECIAL is a Dumble amp-in-a-box that captures the characteristics common to Dumble.
You can control everything from crystal clear clean to heavy gain with just a touch. And what's more, the strong attack won't drown out the distorted sound. This means that chords are well separated, yet the sound is consistent and cohesive. The sound doesn't break up, yet it's not muddy. Despite the wide gain range, it always produces a clear tone.
The GOLDEN ACORN OVERDRIVE SPECIAL's RATIO knob is the basic gain control. Start creating your sound by setting this knob to 11 o'clock for humbuckers, or around 12 to 1 o'clock for single coils.
