Description
Description
G&L is a brand created by George Fullerton and Leo Fender, who have developed and manufactured many legendary instruments. Each instrument made by G&L is a reminder that the spirit and integrity of Leo Fender remains intact.
The Tribute series is produced in Indonesia and features models that are low cost yet maintain the quality of the USA.
This model features a classic Telecaster style with a swamp ash body and maple neck/fretboard combination. However, the neck features a "Medium C" shape for a comfortable grip, medium jumbo frets for a comfortable feel, and 22 frets for a modern feel. The body also features the same "ASAT Classic" six-point saddle bridge as the USA Series, improving octave tuning accuracy, a weakness of traditional three-point saddle Telecaster bridges. It also offers practical functionality.
The pickups are G&L MFD single coils. They offer a well-balanced sound with a ton of treble, midrange, and low frequencies, and they're capable of accurately capturing picking nuances even with just the right amount of compression. The included hex wrench lets you easily adjust the pole piece height for each string, allowing you to easily customize the separation of your chords and the range of notes you want to emphasize.
In addition to the "stickiness" of the mid-range of the swamp ash, the bright and refreshing nuances of the maple neck/maple fingerboard, and the inherent characteristics of the wood material harmonize beautifully with the G&L special PU, resulting in a superb sound.
The "Tribute" series follows the original model, using the same parts as the USA version, and is low-cost yet high-quality, sure to satisfy not only entry-level but also mid-level riders!
