Description
Description
The SG-2000 we have in stock this time was shipped around 1982, and although it has a lot of damage, it is a guitar for players who have been well-maintained.
【body】
The total weight is approximately 4.6 kg. The body features a chic brown sunburst color and a maple top/mahogany back with the "T-cross maple body" construction originating from the SG-175. It's a flagship model of its time, packed with attention to detail, including engraved gold hardware and a sustain block under the bridge. There are signs of wear and tear consistent with its age, including scratches and dents, cloudy paint, and dull metal parts.
【neck】
The guitar features a maple/mahogany neck-through construction with the aforementioned T-cross maple construction and an ebony fingerboard. The tuners function perfectly with no unevenness. The back of the neck, like the body, shows signs of damage, cloudy paint, and a large dent behind the first fret. The frets have been filed and adjusted in our shop, and although they are a little low, they still play well. The nut width is approximately 43.0mm. The neck is characterized by its sturdy width.
[Electrical system]
The controls are classic: two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector switch. This is the pre-SG-2000 Bi-Sound System. The pickups are two original semi-open humbuckers. They offer a powerful, dense, massive tone with the lush character you expect from a humbucker.
