[What is SolidBond?]
A guitar brand based in Kita-ku, Tokyo, launched in 2019. The brand name was named by Ken Yokoyama.
It is run by two people: Shigeta Yoshitomo, who has been involved in instrument making for many years, and repairman Yamagishi.

[What is Coursesetter?]
This phrase was coined by Ken Yokoyama and means, "Decide your course and move forward (set). Now that you've stepped onto the path of guitar playing, go for it with all your might! There's no turning back!" The Ken logo on the rod cover and the Coursesetter logo feature a tattoo logo designed by Ken Yokoyama. The striking headstock, designed jointly by Soild Bond and Ken Yokoyama, features distinctive specifications such as a side jack, a volute on the back of the headstock, and the master volume knob's scale ranging from 0 to 11, symbolizing "Go all out, go all out!!" From the name to the specifications, the Coursesetter is a guitar that is truly overflowing with punk spirit.

~Comment from Ken Yokoyama~

Coursesetter
"This is the long-awaited release of the Solid Bond guitar. I am very pleased to be able to release the first model, the Ken Yokoyama model.
For our first release, we're starting with a "student model," or budget-friendly version. Well, I thought starting like this was an interesting idea! As a student model, we imagined it as a first guitar or a second guitar for those who already own one but want to take up more serious guitar playing. That's why we coined the name "Coursesetter." What that means is...we wanted it to be a guitar that would make people think, "Once I get this guitar, my life's course is set!" We created two colors: the classic walnut and a metallic white. We named the metallic white "Sandy White" because it resembles a sparkling white beach. Both are great (even if I do say so myself, lol). The headstock and pickguard are original, and the master volume is located on the horn on the first-string side. This significantly improves operability. This is a guitar created by Yokoyama Yodare, combining a design and operability that seems familiar but is hard to find. If you see it in a store, be sure to pick it up and try making some sounds! Sell your soul to the devil and decide the course of your life!

-----

Although this is a budget-friendly model, it clearly reflects Ken Yokoyama's commitment to quality! The body is constructed of maple plywood, with a spruce center block and a mahogany neck, all finished with a beautiful white gloss finish. The acoustic sound is crisper and brighter than that of a typical semi-acoustic guitar. Combined with the pickup characteristics, you can enjoy a robust tone that seems suitable not only for rock but also for punk, hardcore, and metal genres. The clean tone is also crisp and pleasant, so it's sure to evoke a variety of images depending on the player! This is a great choice for fans, as well as anyone looking for a semi-acoustic guitar that can be used for heavy-duty performances!

The condition of this particular guitar is excellent, with the endpin replaced with a Schaller locking pin, some tarnish on the hard parts, some peeling plating, and some slight scuffs and scratches on the pickguard and body. However, there are no deep scratches that detract from its aesthetic. There are no issues with the neck or the electronics, making this a guitar that you can enjoy for many years to come. Don't miss this opportunity!
