★The "Beatles Microphone Preamp" co-developed with Abbey Road Studios is now available as an API500 module!

The TG2-500 is an API500/VPR Alliance compliant microphone/line amplifier module that is a faithful reproduction of the preamp module of the EMI TG12428 console that was used at EMI/ABBEY ROAD STUDIO from the late 1960s to the 1970s.
The organic and beautiful rock sound heard in the late Beatles, the solo works of each member, and Pink Floyd's classic "Dark Side Moon" can be recreated in your studio.

◆Official EMI/Abbey Road late Beatles sound!
Many historic masterpieces were produced by EMI Records and the legendary Abbey Road Studios from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. The foundation of their sound was the TG console, developed exclusively by EMI. The vivid and powerful sound heard on records by later Beatles and Stones, early solo works by John and Paul, and Pink Floyd, is the sound of the EMI TG12428 preamp module installed in the TG console.
The TG console is said to be a rare vintage console, with only a limited number of units produced, as it was custom-made for EMI's development division, EMI Research Laboratories, for their own studios starting in 1967. There are currently very few TG consoles still in use, such as those at Abbey Road Studios and those owned by former OASIS member Noel Gallagher, and it has become something of a legend.
In 2003, Abbey Road Studios began a research project on the TG console in collaboration with Chandler Limited's equipment designer, Wade Gauke. As digital recording became mainstream, the organic, beautiful, and lush analog sound was once again in the spotlight. Wade Gauke painstakingly deciphered the vast amount of documentation and original equipment left behind by EMI, and worked with the staff of Abbey Road Studios to create a perfect replica. Chandler Limited's TG series is now available to the public as an official UK EMI/Abbey Road Studio product.
The sound of the modern TG console, including the TG1 compressor/limiter, TG2 microphone preamp, TG Channel H.A.+ equalizer, and TG Mini Rack Mixer analog mixer, quickly spread to top studios and creators around the world. Recognized for their unique character, distinct from classic vintage equipment from brands like NEVE, API, TRIDENT, PULTEC, and FAIRCHILD, they have become an indispensable tool for creators who love analog sound.

Fully compatible with the API500/VPR Alliance format. As private production environments continue to grow, the API500 module (VPR Alliance) is becoming increasingly popular due to its compact size, portability, and the ability to freely combine products from various manufacturers. With the introduction of the TG2-500, you can now add the official Abbey Road (The Beatles) sound to your API500 module options.
The TG2-500 features the same circuitry, transistors, and transformers as the TG2 microphone preamp. The 5dB (1060 dB) step gain and +/-10dB gain trim faithfully reproduce the original EMI console, while the 300/1200 Ohm input impedance switch further expands the sonic versatility. Of course, the powerful, smooth, and musical sound of the original EMI TG12428 preamp is reproduced in every detail. Rest assured, the TG2's signature sound, which many users praise as having "the warmth and punch of vintage NEVE, with a surprisingly open top end that's more musical than NEVE," is all included in the TG2-500.

◆The official logos of "EMI" and "Abbey Road Studio" prove their value!
Wade Goake, president of Chandler Limited and designer of all products, had this to say about the TG2-500 preamp: "The TG2-500 is a product that many users have been asking for for years. Of course, it wasn't easy to fit everything from the TG2 into the API500 module format. However, we explored every possibility and used different methods to finally reach the sound quality we were satisfied with! I think the sound will surprise and satisfy all our users."
The official "EMI" and "Abbey Road Studio" logos shining on the front panel guarantee its value.
