Description

Beautiful artist packaging from the top of the Core Line! A rare pre-owned item now in stock!

The Custom 22 is popular for its large neck heel and Dragon II pickups, producing a rich, fat sound. This model, featuring the Artist Package, is popular for its luxurious look with its beautiful wood grain and gold parts, but production has already been discontinued. Unfortunately, the discontinuation of production was announced at Winter NAMM 2010.

This high-spec model features carefully selected wood with a beautiful grain of 10 or more, plus rosewood fingerboards and headstocks. Paua bird inlays, gold hardware, clear, linear grain, and a vibrant royal blue finish create a stunning, luxurious feel, making this a truly exceptional instrument. The stop tail design provides a direct resonance, allowing players to fully enjoy the fat sound of the Custom 22, making this a recommended choice for any player.

The condition of this particular guitar is as follows: the Eagle tag is missing, there are dents on the back of the neck, the bottom of the body back, and a few edges. There are also minor scuffs and scratches from playing, and some tarnish and corrosion on the metal parts. However, the electrical system and playability are in excellent condition. The controls are a rotary selector, toggle, and push-push tone pot for intuitive coil tapping. The capacitors have also been upgraded from the standard ones to Sprague-made ones. The frets are still intact and about 70% of them remain, making this a truly usable guitar. Not only does it have gorgeous looks that fans will love, but it also has the exceptional resonance and sweet sound that only a Custom22 can offer.
