Description

Perfectly controlled, beautiful imperfections. The most musical analog delay device.

Repeats that melt away with each repetition, dissolving into space. Beautiful imperfection. Oscillations that rumble like thunder. A genuine analog delay using a bucket brigade device (BBD) has a genuine "awesomeness" that simulations cannot yet achieve.
Sending combines beloved traditional analog delay with perfectly tuned, full-featured digital control, delivering the highest quality sound and performance-packed features for the modern musician, while pushing the character and uniqueness of the BBD medium to unprecedented heights.
Even with an analog delay device, the unique, sentimental and lyrical texture that only Electronic Audio Experiments can achieve is still alive and well. We promise you'll be enthralled by the various colors born from the intersection of the past and the future.

Genuine analog circuitry + digital control
Sending combines two MN3005 BBD chips with comprehensive digital control built on a powerful 32-bit 100MHz processor system. It offers full control while retaining the unique character only analog circuits can provide. You can access delay times up to 1000ms (1 second) without clock noise, and by combining it with tap division, you can push the delay time even longer with forced sound degradation.
A unique warm tone evoked by muffled low frequencies and slight high-frequency distortion. Perfect rhythmic tracking. A lo-fi space where bit crush, noise, and aliasing can be seen. A fantastical realm where near-eternal echoes ebb and flow. The frenzy and runaway of self-oscillation. Packed with an incredible attention to detail, every sound is strongly linked to the lyrical texture that is unique to Electronic Audio Experiments.
Complete control of all parameters. Extremely deep and wide range of settings. Tap tempo. Preset functionality. And all functions are accessible via MIDI.

Preamp section full of texture
The signal entering the ending is beautifully colored by a unique discrete preamp consisting of a JFET/BJT gain stage. The perfect combination with the delay line is pursued, producing everything from subtle enhancement to gritty saturation and even full, bold overload. Simultaneous gain and output level control ensures a constant output level.
This preamp section is so well-crafted that it feels like it should be released as a standalone pedal. It has the bold, powerful presence that's so characteristic of Electronic Audio Experiments, as well as an impulsive, somewhat sentimental breakup. By setting the Trail mode, you can also use the Sending as a constant-on drive even in bypass mode.

A unique discrete preamplifier that can be used for subtle enhancements to full-range overloads, automatically maintaining optimal volume balance at all settings.
- Trail bypass mode allows the preamp to be used as an always-on drive.
- Dual mode filter determines the character of the delay repeats.
A powerful 32-bit processor system is integrated into the analog signal path, allowing comprehensive digital control of every function.
- Tap tempo with subdivisions, hold for momentary feedback.
The LFO engine that modulates the delay time can be selected from sine, square, and triangle waves. It also has a chaos function that adds randomness based on the Lorenz attractor.
- Insert loop that allows you to insert an external effect into the feedback path.
- Three presets can be set from the front panel, and up to a total of 32 can be used when using MIDI.
- CV/Expression control that can be freely assigned to control individual or multiple functions.
- TRS MIDI input supports control changes, preset selection, and clock control.
- Supports firmware updates via MIDI jack.
- Electronic bypass with selectable buffered/trail modes.
・Input impedance @ 1kHz: 1MkΩ
・Output impedance @ 1kHz: 1KΩ
