The original Attack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator is known for creating volume, reverse swells, and reversed tape sounds, as well as deliberate short staccato and bowed instrument effects.
A digital reissue of the Attack Decay was released in 2019. This Pico Attack Decay delivered volume envelope effects in a simple, compact package.
Pico Attack Decay allows you to set volume swell and decay in both MONO mode, where a single volume envelope applies to every note played, and the groundbreaking POLY mode, where a separate envelope is applied to each individual input note.With its intuitive functionality and simple controls, Pico Attack Decay opens up creative avenues for any player interested in volume envelopes.
Pico Attack Decay is powerful yet simple, delivering a wide range of effects with just four knobs and a mode button. The ATTACK knob sets the volume envelope's swell or fade-in speed, while the DECAY knob sets the volume envelope's fade-out speed. Higher ATTACK settings result in slower volume swells. Higher DECAY settings result in punchier, more synthetic staccato sounds, like synths. SENS adjusts the threshold that triggers the envelope. VOL adjusts the overall output volume. A hidden BLEND control allows you to blend the wet and dry signals for even more tonal flexibility.
