Description

OVERDRIVELAND has the same lustrous presence as the now-hard-to-find DUMBLE amp, and was created to allow players to express their own individual personalities.

Designer Hayashi, CEO of FREE THE TONE, has experience maintaining and repairing over 20 DUMBLE amps and owns several himself. DUMBLE amps have a unique overtone that can sound distorted even in clean sounds. The drive sound of a DUMBLE amp pushes the player forward as if the amp has a mind of its own. Development began with the idea of imbuing this feeling in a pedal-type overdrive pedal.

The Normal channel is the foundation of the OVERDRIVELAND sound, and creates a basic clean sound as well as a crunch sound. First, set all knobs to the center and try playing some sound. The harmonic content changes and the tone changes depending on the picking strength. The Normal channel has a rich tone that will elicit a variety of phrases from the player.
The normal channel also has "EQ ON/GLASS" and "ROCK/JAZZ" switches for setting the basic sound.
The "EQ ON/GLASS" switch sets the equalization function for the normal channel. When set to "EQ ON," the "TONE" circuit operates. When set to "GLASS," the "TONE" circuit is bypassed, giving you a glassy tone similar to that of a blackface Fender Vibroverb with the Bright switch turned on.
The "ROCK/JAZZ" switch sets the frequency characteristics of the normal channel and the gain of the amplification stage.
The "ROCK" side is designed to increase the gain to create a sound, and is designed to increase the overall gain while slightly reducing the gain in the low range. This prevents the sound from being crushed at the amplifier input stage due to excessive volume in the low range. The "JAZZ" side is designed to reduce the overall gain to produce a richer low range.
When you select the OVERDRIVELAND's drive channel, a drive circuit is added before the normal channel. In other words, looking from the input side, the signal flows through the drive circuit, normal channel circuit, and output circuit. This drive circuit is equipped with a "HI-CUT" filter circuit, making it easy to adjust the high-frequency characteristics. In addition, the "PUSH" control adjusts the signal level sent from the drive circuit to the normal channel. This "PUSH" allows you to control the sense of sound pressure.
In addition, OVERDRIVELAND is equipped with a power switching function, the specifications of which differ between the ODL-1 and ODL-1-CS.

You can choose between an external DC9V input or the internal boost power supply (DC14.5V).
Just as changing the power supply voltage to a tube amp changes the sound, changing the voltage also changes the sound of the OVERDRIVELAND. We hope you enjoy the changes in sound.

The voltage supplied to the audio circuit can be adjusted continuously from DC 10V to 19V. Changing the power supply voltage changes the clipping point, dramatically changing the drive sound. Enjoy the changes in sound and find the voltage that best suits your taste.

OVERDRIVELAND's unique drive sound, which provides a balanced drive tone from the first string through to the sixth (and seventh) string, will expand your expressive possibilities. We encourage you to explore these possibilities with OVERDRIVELAND.

ODL-1-CS (CUSTOM SHOP)
The custom modules for the CUSTOM SHOP version use different parts than the standard version in order to respond more sensitively to the input signal.
In addition, the voltage supplied to the audio circuit can be adjusted continuously from DC 10V to 19V. Changing the power supply voltage changes the clipping point, dramatically changing the drive sound. Enjoy the changes in sound and find the voltage that best suits your taste.

Main Features: ROCK/JAZZ switch for switching gain and frequency characteristics (normal channel)
- "GLASS" switch (normal channel) bypasses the TONE circuit to obtain a glass-like sound.
- Individual output level adjustment is possible for the normal channel and drive channel.
Equipped with an HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit. Unlike conventional buffer circuits, the HTS circuit converts impedance while bringing out the guitar's inherent sound characteristics to the fullest extent, achieving both excellent sound and low noise. This HTS circuit prevents deterioration of sound quality even when the effect is turned off. Furthermore, the output signal is output in phase with the input signal, eliminating the risk of phase inversion.
