The Pinnacle Distortion is a distortion pedal that the creator himself describes as having the best EVH brown sound, and is a pedal that can produce sounds ranging from extreme drive to a mild crunch.
A new feature is that while the previous model had only one TONE, this model now has three independent bands: BASS, MID, and TREBLE. It also adds a BOOST/GAIN knob, which is also found on the Pinnacle. It also has a knob to adjust the amount of BOOST. The BOOST switch is independent, so it can be used alone!
The key feature, the SAG switch, tightens up the low end. The BOOST and BYPASS switches have been reversed from the previous model, which is another improvement for easier use.
The drive is very easy to use, allowing you to easily create your own sound. You don't need to buy an expensive amp head just for the brown sound; just set the Vint./Mod. switch to Mod. and not only does it increase the gain, it transforms into a bright, firm drive, giving you the perfect, top-notch brown sound!
