SD-000 Series
The SD-065MG, which was manufactured until 1985, was one of the top models of the time. Based on the SD-065M, it featured improvements to operability, such as a larger snappy wire tension adjustment knob.
The snare drum plays a central role in any drum system, and Yamaha placed particular emphasis on sharpness and quick attack of the sound.
The seamless steel shell is equipped with a machined iron rim that provides extremely high rigidity.
This means that there is no distortion even with high-pitch tuning, and the tightness and powerful sound are unparalleled.
The parallel action strainer moves up and down simultaneously on both sides, allowing for fine adjustment of snare wire tension from both sides. Because the snare does not interfere with the bottom head's vibration, the stick rebound is excellent, allowing the drummer to clearly express everything from delicate phrases to hard shots.
