Description
Description
Whether it's an electric guitar, electric bass, or other electronic or acoustic instrument, all sounds are affected by the reverberation of the space before they reach our ears.
The sound you hear from a special seat in a spacious space designed with ideal reverberation in mind is the best performance an instrument can produce.
PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB is a reverb effect that creates the ideal reverberation. Throughout history, various reverb systems have been created to create this reverberation. From rooms created just for reverb, to plate and spring reverbs, and even digital reverbs, the historical evolution of reverb effects has been a quest for the ideal reverberation.
Today, digital effects technology has advanced, making it easy to simulate historical reverb effects. These simulations are very useful if you are looking for the sounds played on classic albums of the past. Unique new effects that add new ideas to reverb effects can also create some very impressive results.
PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB is not like those historical simulations or reverb-derived effects.
BJF developed this reverb with the aim of creating the reverb that players truly desire when actually playing guitar or bass.
Rather than a rich and powerful spring reverb or a reverb tone that acts as a fantastical effect with an octave up, we sought the ideal reverb tone that would be left on all the time to maximize the potential of the instrument.
The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB is a reverb pedal that stores BJF's custom program on a 24-bit high-quality digital chip. Of course, the dry signal is an analog dry-through structure that is not converted to digital.
The ideal reverb tone for guitarists and bassists is neither spring nor hall nor room, but a combination of the characteristics of each, a neutral reverb that is not too assertive yet still has presence.
If I had to make a comparison, it would be more of a hall tone than a spring, but without the overly bright tone of a hall reverb.
By randomly modulating the decay time of the reverb signal, a monaural effect is created that creates a spatially diffused sound. This random modulation is programmed to closely resemble the string vibration characteristics of a guitar or bass.
This is a unique feature of PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB, which differs from conventional reverb algorithms that layer individually recorded reverbs. It is a natural, three-dimensional sound that is not dull, and is closest to the ideal reverb tone that players truly desire.
Furthermore, PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB has a dynamic range about five times wider than a typical spring reverb. Filtering is applied to prevent the sound from becoming too treble or oversaturating, especially in the bass, but as a reverb effect, its wide dynamic range creates an open, spatial characteristic.
At the same time, we've added a Decay control to prevent the reverberations from interfering with the rhythm. The Decay control designed by BJF isn't just a control that adjusts the length of a typical reverb's reverberation; it's a control that allows you to easily set it so that it decays seamlessly to match the tone of your guitar. The decay time can be set from 2ms to 2s, allowing you to create sounds ranging from a soft reverberation to a tone that lasts forever.
The precise decay control and overwhelmingly natural reverb tone are close to those of studio-class reverb units made using the latest technology, but this reverb unit is designed exclusively for guitar/bass.
PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB's early reflection is set to a short duration. This means that the time it takes for the reverb to kick in after the attack of a guitar or bass is short, and the reverb tone is overwhelmingly natural, so there's no sudden, unnatural reverberation, and the sound spreads out three-dimensionally right after you play, creating the unique feel of PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB.
The PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB also has a Kill Dry switch that allows you to mute the dry signal.
This is a function that is included in many rack-type effects, but it is effective when used by connecting to the parallel effects loop of some guitar amplifiers and mixers.
Also, if you connect a PRUSSIAN BLUE REVERB with Kill Dry set to your main signal chain, you can use it as a slow volume effect by setting the early reflection to a short length.
Features: A completely new reverb pedal designed by BJF. Overwhelmingly natural, three-dimensional sound dispersion. Decay control allows for natural settings without interfering with the rhythm. Kill-dry function included. High-quality mini-sized case made from machined aluminum. Can also be powered by a built-in battery.
