Description
Description
Roger Sadowsky's goal was to further improve an already very successful bass design by implementing many detailed improvements. Together with the active circuit he developed himself, he succeeded in taking the J/J bass sound to a new level. All the characteristics of this bass sound - the typical Sadowsky tone with its clear, open bass, modern but not overly aggressive midrange and clear treble - are carried over to the MetroLine series, manufactured exclusively in Germany.
This MetroLine artist model features Will Lee, one of the world's greatest bassists, and a familiar face in previous series and NYC. Its sleek, compact J-style body features a single-coil J/J pickup and a custom-made preamp tailored to Will Lee's specifications. It features a mid-boost (500 and 800 Hz) for added punch, a passive tone control, treble/bass EQ boost, ultra-lightweight tuners, a bridge for improved response, and other custom parts. At Will's request, the neck has a slightly narrower nut width. This exceptionally lightweight model is perfect for bassists looking for a lightweight bass with a modern bass sound and easy handling for stage performance. It offers world-class quality in both sound and playability.
After receiving worldwide acclaim for its domestically produced models, the transition to models manufactured at the Warwick factory in Germany has become a much talked-about trend. While retaining most of the basic concepts and specifications, the new models utilize Warwick's strength, the "vast wood stock," and hand-selected materials to create lightweight bodies weighing less than 4kg, making them a departure from the original chambered NYC models. Experience this new Sadowsky challenge for yourself.
