Powerful as an acoustic guitar preamp
The AD-10 features two inputs for versatile use. It can accommodate guitars with dual pickups (piezo and magnetic), or switch between two connected guitars. Input gain and EQ can be adjusted individually for each input, and a boost function allows you to adjust the volume difference between fingered and strummed guitars, or for solos, with the touch of a button. Outputs include standard jacks and stereo XLR connectors. A ground lift switch allows direct connection to a PA system as a direct box. Outputs are also available, allowing for a variety of applications, including separate pre- and post-input outputs, or separate outputs for connected guitars.
For sound creation
The AD-10 features an Acoustic Resonance function that recreates the natural, full-bodied tone of an acoustic guitar, often lost due to pickup characteristics, on stage. It also features a compressor using proprietary MDP technology, an advanced technology that responds to the range and dynamics of your phrases, ensuring a consistently natural feel and sound. This next-generation compression effect is perfectly suited to any acoustic guitar playing style. Furthermore, simply turning the knobs controls internal parameters intricately, adding a sophisticated spaciousness while preserving the delicate acoustic guitar tone. The built-in delay/chorus effect is also a powerful tool for creating impressive sounds. Each effect delivers a high-quality sound optimized for acoustic guitar. In addition to the panel knobs, the AD-10 also offers internal sub-parameters. For example, the "EQ" section allows you to change the MID Q, adjust the tone of the booster function, select the type of acoustic resonance and adjust the tone, allowing you to create the sound you want.
Various features optimized for live performances: To combat feedback, which is essential for live performances, the unit features a specialized low-frequency reduction function. Simply turn the knob to effectively suppress feedback without significantly affecting sound quality. Two notch filters are also provided, automatically detecting feedback points, effectively eliminating feedback. The unit also features a looper function that can record and play up to 80 seconds of loops, enhancing performances such as solo performances, allowing you to perform in real time at any time. You can also customize the unit's operation to your liking by connecting a foot switch or expression pedal to the external control jack and assigning various functions.
Utilities for improved usability: The basic operation is a simple manual mode, which allows you to change the tone in response to knob position. There's also a memory mode, which lets you recall up to 10 pre-saved memories for playback. It also features a built-in BOSS-quality tuner with mute function, preventing sound leakage between songs and noise when switching guitars, making for a comfortable live setup. The AD-10 is also useful for recording. Connecting to a PC via USB allows it to function as an audio interface, allowing you to create songs with high-quality acoustic guitar sounds. It's powered by six AA alkaline batteries for up to six hours of operation. An AC adapter is also supported.
