Description

[A rare used Ebbetts Drum Company snare has arrived!]

[Ebbetts Drum Company is an Australian drum manufacturer specializing in handcrafted, custom-made drums made from the finest Australian hardwoods.]

●Evetts Drum Company
We use high-quality wood native to Australia, primarily spotted gum.
While other manufacturers purchase ply wood and mold it into shells, Ebbetts Drum Company processes each ply individually in its own factory.
This allows for plying with a unique wood grain arrangement, and allows for horizontal grain as well as vertical grain and diagonal grain, which is currently only available from a limited number of manufacturers.
Shell molding, edge cutting, painting, and assembly are all done in-house, making us a drum manufacturer that can be described as a fully custom-made, high-end boutique, able to realize the various sounds and high-quality, luxurious finishes that players desire, which would be difficult to achieve through production on a large factory line.

Sydney Blue Gum / Horizontal Grain & Kimberley High Gloss Finish This snare is crafted from Kimberley wood with a special high-gloss green fade finish. Evetts can also produce custom colors like this.
Sydney Bluegum is not a commonly used wood for drums, but it has a beautiful tone. It's similar to Jarrah but produces a fuller tone with an even mix of high, mid and low frequencies.
Rim shots have a slightly metallic sound that can be compared to a high-quality steel shell drum.
The interior and exterior are molded with horizontal grain, and the wood is veneered with Kimberley wood. This model has weight, delicacy, and volume, yet also has a soft feel, making it a very wide tuning range model.

The high gloss lacquer finish, achieved through meticulous buffing, beautifully highlights the special order green fade and the Kimberley wood grain, resulting in a very luxurious finish.

Sydney Blue Gum is a hardwood found in eastern Australia. It belongs to the eucalyptus family and has properties similar to jarrah wood. It is commonly used for flooring and building materials.
