This instrument is part of the "XJ" series, assembled in Japan. While based on the familiar, traditional electric bass sound that's highly requested by bassists and on stage, it's crafted with a modern approach, offering versatile controls for a wide range of uses, excellent playability for any playing style, and exceptional durability. Furthermore, with woodworking in one of Japan's leading workshops, assembly by in-house builders, and high-quality setup and quality control utilizing PLEK, these instruments are renowned for their high quality and have earned acclaim from both professional and amateur players alike, both in Japan and overseas, as the "best tools" for making music.

This instrument features an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, crafted in the traditional '60s JB bass style with a five-string configuration. The traditional lacquer finish creates a aged appearance, while also providing a stately sound with a well-played feel, featuring a straight, smooth tone with rich overtones and a rich, mellow tone. The rich, fat low-mids and lustrous high-mids characteristic of alder provide a comfortable, rich tone, with well-balanced response all the way down to the low B string. This instrument also features optional Raw Vintage Pickups, delivering the crisp, crisp, and warm tone of hand-wired pickups, delivering a rich sound even in passive mode.

The preamp, a defining feature of this brand's basses, features an original Tri-logic active preamp, covering a full range of boosts while minimizing tonal artifacts. While the various controls may seem cumbersome and complex at first glance, they are actually designed to aid in the player's sound creation, providing precise, purposeful support. The instrument also features the renowned Hipshot Ultralight tuning machines and a custom-made brass "Xotic Bridge," providing excellent sound quality and a reassuring level of playability. While the aged finish makes it difficult to determine the exact damage, there is no visible damage that would detract from the guitar's appearance, and it remains in excellent condition.
