Description

Our flagship brand "BLACK SMOKER", the Tradmaster series with a lacquer and aged finish

"BLACK SMOKER" is a handmade brand from BLACK CLOUD, a workshop in Nagano Prefecture, a mecca for musical instrument manufacturing where many brands are located. This brand has already gained popularity among many professional musicians for its sophisticated and high-quality sound, playability, and looks. It's a notable brand created by three people: CEO Kuroiwa, who has been involved in the design and manufacturing of numerous manufacturers and models, young builder Yanagisawa, who collaborates with him, and builder Itasaka, who has worked for a long-established Japanese brand.

The highly acclaimed and popular "TradMaster" series is a classic. This model showcases the brand's true value with a simple, standard, and classic design, finished with a lacquer finish and aged finish for a vintage feel. Featuring a classic 70s-style ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard, this bass delivers a truly authentic feel. While the specs are simple, the carefully selected materials are immediately apparent upon first note. The neck shape maintains the PB-like width and thickness, while its smooth curve makes playing feel effortless. The original pickups accurately reproduce the body's resonance while delivering a thick, punchy sound. The smooth setup allows for effortless playability. This bass truly showcases the instrument's quality of construction. The tonal inconsistency, a common issue with many PB models, is perfectly balanced, maintaining a sense of dynamics while remaining well-balanced. The result is a stunning finish that combines the wildness of PB with modern ease of use at a high level. The stylish lacquer finish with an aged finish, aged parts modified for this series like the pickups, and vintage-style bridge all contribute greatly not only to the looks but also to a thicker, more imposing sound.

In terms of looks, the guitar is packed with attention to detail, including a medium-aged finish that exudes a well-worn look, white knobs and white PU covers, and, most importantly, a matching surf green headstock that has a subtle yet retro feel. While boasting a vintage-like look, the playability and sound pressure are truly impressive, demonstrating the brand's pride and dedication. This is a wonderful bass that achieves the ideal of "combining vintage looks and sound with modern playability and stability" at an extremely high level, and is one that we wholeheartedly recommend.

Due to the limited production numbers, this is a highly sought-after brand, and the number of units available is extremely limited. This bass is recognized by professionals for both its playability and sound, and its quality has already made a big name for itself in the scene.
