Description
Description
ATELIER Z is a long-established Japanese brand that produces many masterpieces with a unique approach, developing instruments in collaboration with leading bassists, providing settings that meet the demanding needs of professional bassists, and incorporating active circuits that are highly valued on the job. This high-quality passive bass is proudly released by Atelier Z, featuring the world's first biotechnology part, "Zymo Aged," which recreates vintage tones by providing a sound-aging effect.
Based on the classic 60s JB-style 5-string "MVT#605," this bass features the aforementioned sound-aging parts, resulting in a bass with the rich resonance, overtone-rich tone, and extremely smooth attack that are the true joy of a passive bass. The mellow, mellow nuances are apparent from the moment you pick it up, producing a sweet sound with a pleasant bounce. Enjoy the firm midrange tone characteristic of the alder body and the lustrous, clear highs for an even more refined tone.
One of the major features of this instrument is its exceptional playability, thanks to the Atelier Z's unique low action setting, which provides a sense of security not only when playing the brand's signature slapping technique, but also when playing with your fingers. It produces a rich sound without causing stress to the player. Another hidden feature is that, despite being a traditional-style bass, it features 21 frets and a 19mm string spacing. You'll experience a clearer difference in sound quality than you'd expect, making this a premium passive bass that's the brand's top pick.
◆Zymo Aged is a world-first organic sound-aging part that uses a unique biotechnology-based manufacturing process to ferment metal and produce special bacteria that promote the aging process, similar to that of a guitar that has been played for many years.By applying an invisible, random, natural fermentation process (aging) to metal parts such as bridges and springs, it creates the resonance and tone that comes with aging, similar to that of an old guitar.
"Zymo Aged" creates a vintage tone with realistic aging, rather than the visual appearance of previous relic or aged finishes.
