Description
Description
This time, we have a watch that was shipped around 1973, after minor changes were made to the 1968 re-release. It is a wonderful watch that conveys the atmosphere of having been used for a long time.
【body】
The overall weight is approximately 4.4 kg. The body is made of a maple top and a mahogany back with a pancake construction. The Les Paul Custom is often associated with its ebony black color, and this guitar has a very cool, rugged look. There is some weather checking and dents around the body binding, belt buckle marks on the back of the body, and slight plating peeling and tarnish on the gold parts, but the guitar is in good condition. The switch knob, control knobs, pickup covers, and bridge have all been replaced.
【neck】
The neck is a three-piece mahogany with a volute. The fingerboard is made of precious ebony. There is weather checking around the inlay on the headstock, and dents around the headstock and the back of the neck, but like the body, it is in good condition, reflecting its age. The serial number and "MADE IN USA" are engraved. The tuners have now been replaced with Grover 102s, and the original waffle peg holes remain. There is little variation in winding and they function well. The frets and nut were replaced at our shop, and playability is excellent. The nut width is 43.3mm. The neck shape is relatively clean.
[Electrical system]
The controls are the familiar Les Paul model: 3-way pickup selector, 2 volume controls, and 2 tone controls. While the pickup covers have been replaced, the original T-top numbered pickups with decal stickers remain intact. The capacitors are Sprague Black Beauty, and one of the pots has been replaced. The guitar boasts a rich, natural tone with pleasant overtones and a thick tone backed by the wood, while also boasting a crisp, lustrous clean tone and a powerful, driven sound.
