~A microphone that captures you~

Imagine if recording vocals and narration could be as easy and beautiful as filming with your smartphone.
RAY is the world's first microphone to achieve this.

●AURA sensor technology like autofocus Equipped with groundbreaking AURA sensor technology, RAY dynamically adapts not only the volume but also the tone according to the distance between you and the microphone.
It's just like the autofocus on a camera: anyone can easily achieve perfectly balanced recordings, just like focusing.

With previous microphones, you had to maintain a proper distance and not move around to ensure consistent sound quality.
For example, when you get close to a microphone, the sound becomes louder and boomier, a phenomenon known as the proximity effect, and conversely, when you move away, the sound becomes quieter and thinner.
A person had to be tuned into the microphone to get satisfactory results.

RAY overturns this conventional wisdom with its ToF (Time of Flight) sensor-based technology.
The volume is controlled while automatically correcting frequency components that are predicted to increase or decrease depending on the distance from the microphone.

This measurement is made five times per second and is processed at a higher resolution than the display on the device itself, allowing the sound to be seamlessly controlled so that it sounds the same whether you are close to the microphone or far away.

As a result, anyone can achieve professional recording results with RAY, even if it's their first time recording.

●MUTE by Distance: Changing the way you interact with microphones
With its groundbreaking AURA technology and MUTE by Distance feature, RAY revolutionizes the way you interact with your microphone.
Simply press and hold the MUTE button and set a specific distance to automatically mute/unmute. If you move further away from the microphone, your audio will be muted, and if you move closer, your audio will be live. This is a game-changing feature for live performances, streams, and content.

Additionally, RAY is the world's first professional XLR microphone with a dedicated MUTE button, giving clear visual feedback when MUTE is activated and also functions when MUTE by Distance is activated.
This feature is also great for streaming, podcasts, and video conferencing.

Record-Ready Sound
RAY delivers record-ready sound that requires no pre-processing such as EQ or compression.
Recording audio for podcasts, streaming, content, and music production has never been easier.

Featuring the same analog circuitry as the world's best-selling LEWITT LCT 440 PURE microphone, RAY delivers the refined sound loved by producers and engineers working with artists like Justin Bieber, The Rolling Stones, Holsey, Post Malone, Kehlani, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Doja Cat.

●More useful features
You can lock the settings by holding down both the AURA and MUTE buttons for a few seconds to prevent accidentally pressing the MUTE button while on stage, etc.
To unlock, press and hold both buttons again until the display flashes again.

The settings for RAY and you are retained in the unit even after the cable is unplugged, so you don't have to reset the MUTE setting in Distance every time.

●Free download of iZotope VEA available only in Japan
LEWITT RAY users can download the AI audio enhancer software iZotope VEA for free.
Using VEA, you can remove background noise such as air conditioning from recorded audio data, or give voices more presence.

Main features: Autofocus-like AURA technology*1 *2
・Mute by Distance
- Dedicated MUTE button included *3
Record-ready sound that requires no pre-processing such as EQ or compression. Mute setting lock function (to prevent malfunction). 1-inch true condenser studio capsule.
100% analog signal path (volume and tone changes are digitally controlled analog circuitry)
- Unidirectional - Gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector
- Robust design that can withstand multiple drop tests

*1: The AURA sensor uses a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor to constantly focus on the nearest object within a range of 5-100cm and adjust the level and tone accordingly. Please keep this in mind when making gestures in front of the microphone.

*2: The AURA sensor can be turned on/off by pressing a button. If an engineer wants to intentionally achieve a proximity effect, turning the sensor off will allow the microphone to function as a professional condenser microphone, just like the LCT 440 PURE.

*3: The MUTE button mutes the signal by attenuating it by 70 dB.
