●Virtual SSL Console
The UC1 works in conjunction with the SSL 360° plug-in mixer, available for download from the SSL site.
The SSL360 plug-in mixer is the heart of the UC1 system, allowing you to see and control all channel strips and bus compressors in a single window.
This plug-in mixer works in conjunction with plug-ins to provide an operating feel that is just like a real mixer.

SSL Channel Strip 2 Plug-in
Developed from a digital model of the SSL XL9000K large console, SSL Native Channel Strip 2 gives you everything you need to achieve the latest SSL sound in your DAW. SSL Native plug-ins are the only plug-ins designed by a team of engineers at SSL's headquarters in Oxford, UK, the only team with access to the original datasheets and specifications for which the console was created.

In developing the UC1, we completely overhauled the code from our previous model to include a unique anti-clamping algorithm, which prevents all forms of phase and amplitude wrapping. The result is the best-sounding SSL channel strip ever: punchy, distortion-free and ready for any source.

The UC1 provides control over all key parameters of the Channel Strip 2 plug-in, with the same configuration and visual feedback as an SSL large console, allowing you to quickly find your channel processing sweet spot.

Bus Compressor
Native Bus Compressor2 is a model of the Stereo Bus Compressor (SSL G-Comp), a master stereo bus compressor that was installed in the center section of the 1980s SSL analog console SL 4000 G series.

This stereo compressor is designed to add punch and drive to the sound of your mix, making it better and more powerful, bringing uncompromising unity and strength to the sound you mix. This unit also boasts excellent acoustic characteristics, making it a key element of the SSL sound that has been used by the world's leading audio engineers to create many hit mixes.

Located in the center of the UC1 is the Bus Compressor control, which connects to the SSL Native Bus Compressor2. The authentic layout and metering make it feel like you're controlling a hardware bus compressor built into the center section of an SSL console. Using the classic moving-coil gain reduction metering found on SSL consoles since the 1970s, the attack/release time and gain reduction characteristics of the bus compressor are perfectly represented, allowing producers and engineers to see exactly how instruments, subgroups, and of course the mix are reacting.
