★Abbey Road Studios-approved Beatles tube microphone preamp
This is a single-channel microphone preamplifier that perfectly reproduces the sound of the REDD.51 vacuum tube console that was installed at EMI/Abbey Road Studios until 1968.

The REDD.47 Pre Amp was developed in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios and Chandler Limited, and beautifully reproduces the rich vintage vacuum tube sound that has been heard on many classic albums, including those by The Beatles.

■REDD.47 Pre Amp
The REDD.47 Pre Amp is an EMI-approved microphone preamp that reproduces the sound of the EMI REDD.51 vacuum tube console, which was used at Abbey Road Studios in the UK until 1968, through joint development by Abbey Road Studios and Chandler Limited.

EMI completed the REDD.17 console for their own recording studio in 1958, and later the REDD.37 console, which used the Siemens (Telefunken) V72S amplifier module.

The REDD.51 console, which could be called the ultimate REDD console, was developed and installed at Abbey Road Studios in 1964. This REDD.51 console used the REDD.47 amplifier module, developed in-house as an upgraded version of the V72S, for all stages (mic input, line input, send, and monitor).

The REDD.47 was developed by EMI's engineering team as an upgrade to the Telefunken V72S amplifier module. (According to Geoff Emerick, engineer who worked on recordings such as "Sgt. Pepper's," the REDD.47 preamp has a bigger, punchier sound and more three-dimensionality than the V72S.)

Its sound provided a beautiful, vintage, musical tone to all the recordings made at Abbey Road Studios at the time. Many of The Beatles' greatest hits were produced by the REDD.47 amplifier module installed in this REDD.51 vacuum tube console.

Until the first solid-state console, the TG console, was installed in Abbey Road Studio 2 in December 1968, the sound of the REDD.51 vacuum tube console was the original sound of Abbey Road Studios (in terms of Beatles work, the album "Abbey Road" and the solo works of each member were produced using the TG console, while from the early days until shortly after the "White Album" the sound was produced using the REDD console.Incidentally, "Let It Be" was produced using a REDD console that had been brought out of the studio for filming).

Chandler Limited, in partnership with Abbey Road Studios, has already released the "TG Series" of TG console reproductions. Now, after extensive research into the original blueprints, production notes, characteristics and circuit configurations of the historic consoles, and in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, they have completed the first official reproduction of the REDD.47 vacuum tube microphone preamplifier.

In addition to thoroughly pursuing that original sound, the Chandler Limited REDD.47 is designed to provide a sufficient gain range as a microphone preamp, control over a wide range of tonal textures by combining Voltage Gain and Fine Gain, and a DI input.

You can create a wide variety of sounds by adjusting the settings, from delicate and crisp clean sounds to rock sounds with rich, thick overtones.

It also features an 8-position RUMBLE FILTER (high-pass filter) and a POLE switch (phase reverse), which are useful when recording.

Enjoy the vintage vacuum tube sound, officially approved by EMI and Abbey Road, with a meticulous reproduction of the vintage atmosphere.
