871963
Sadowsky Guitars USED TYO Modern Edge 5-string J Bass (Natural/Morado)
[Consignment Sales Service (Items on Hold)]
A high-quality 5-string model from TYO, highly recommended for players!

In the early 1980s, Roger Sadowsky, while repairing and modifying instruments for leading New York musicians, established the so-called "active JB style," incorporating a preamplifier into the bass guitar itself, proposing new possibilities for bass sound. Influencing not only players but also manufacturers, the "Sadowsky style" has spawned many followers. With its sound variations suitable for all musical genres, low noise, and ultimate functionality, it is truly an instrument for working musicians.

The "TYO" series, which used the same USA parts as Sadowsky NYC, allowed for a high degree of customization. Thanks to the high level of Made-in-Japan craftsmanship, TYO instruments have garnered praise from bass fans around the world and remain highly popular even long after production has ended.

This instrument is a 5-string model featuring a solid ash body and a morado fingerboard, similar to the Metroline. The crispness of the ash body and the firm midrange from the morado fingerboard, combined with the satisfying, punchy attack unique to a solid body, make it perfectly suited for fingerstyle, slap, and even pick playing. Equipped with original single-coil pickups, it delivers a powerful and vibrant active JB sound while faithfully reproducing picking nuances.

There are minor scratches and dents, some tarnishing and paint chipping on the parts, and some discoloration on the fretboard, but the guitar is in good enough condition to be playable.
The truss rod has plenty of adjustment range, the neck condition is good with no major issues, and although there is slight wear on the frets, there is still plenty of height left, so it can be used as a ready-to-play instrument for a long time.

Weight: ≈4.34kg
Accessories: Original semi-hard case, spec sheet
