870411
GRECO VINTAGE GO-900N MOD '79
Greco, a long-established company that began making musical instruments in the 1960s and has supported the Japanese music industry for many years to this day, produces a wide variety of models, both copies and originals. Their Greco LP copies, in particular, are highly regarded and command high prices in the used market.

The ever-popular GO series, including the GO-900 which has undergone a bold modification, has arrived in stock.

【body】
The guitar weighs approximately 3.7kg. The body is made of three layers of sen wood, with a natural finish and gold hardware for a luxurious look. There are signs of use throughout, including scratches, dents, tarnishing of metal parts, and a crack in the body near the jack. The truss rod cover, strap pins, screws, and the back plates of the controls and switches have been replaced, and two 9V battery boxes have been added to the back of the body for the EMG pickups. The nuts that secure the bridge studs are missing.

【neck】
The neck is a 7-piece maple/walnut construction with a rosewood fingerboard and a Speedway neck (neck-through) design. Similar to the body, the back of the neck has some minor scratches and dents, but is in relatively good condition. The tuners have been replaced with GOTOH tuners, and no additional screw holes have been made. The nut has been replaced in the past, and while there is some slight fret wear, there is no extreme buzzing or dead spots, and playability is good. The nut width is approximately 43.5mm. It's slightly wide, but the thin neck shape provides a good grip.

[Electrical System]
The controls consist of two volume knobs, two tone knobs, a phase switch, and a booster switch. All electronic components, including the pickups, potentiometers, mini-switches, output jack, and selector switch, have been replaced. The mini-switches are EMG PI2 and PA2, and the pickups are an EMG 85 in the neck position and an EMG 81 in the bridge position. The original pickup rings were wide, so it appears that 7-string pickup rings were used to match the size. Pieces of wood for pickup mounting are screwed under the pickups, and sponge has been inserted to fill the gaps. It's a very bold modification, but it's a meticulously put-together instrument.

Weight: 3.7kg
Body Material (Top/Center/Back): Sen/Sen/Sen
Neck Material: Maple/Walnut, 7 piece
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Nut Width: 43.5mm
Fret Width: 2.7mm
Neck Thickness (1F/7F/12F): 22.1mm/22.8mm/23.7mm
Pickup (Neck/Bridge): EMG 85/EMG81
*The DC resistance value of the pickup is measured through the control section.

Heartman Vintage Guitars is a specialty store for vintage guitars and basses operated by Ikebe Musical Instruments.
