This signature model was developed to reflect this preference and to realize a sound that would meet the demands of Keith's diverse studio work.\u003cbr\u003e After much trial and error, we settled on a 14\" x 5.5\" antique brass shell with a 45-degree bearing edge. Keith's preference was to improve dynamics and pitch range rather than a forward snare sound or attack, so we equipped the guitar with 20 snare wires and a Permatone Coated head as standard. The guitar features a 4mm thick Gretsch die-cast hoop and a Lightning Throw-off strainer.
