869063
Kikuchi Guitars Hermes Series R70-4 (Dark Lake Placid Blue)
Hermes introduces the long-awaited full-size and 20F "70" series!

Kikuchi Guitars was born to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, one of Japan's leading luthiers, visiting world-renowned contemporary master craftsman Roger Sadowsky. The "Hermes" series, which allows you to fully experience the deepened understanding of instruments while precisely inheriting the Sadowsky spirit, now features the long-awaited "70 Series."

The 70 Series produces its distinctive tone through the exquisite blend of its full-size body, 20-fret neck, and 70's pickup placement.
Unlike the standard Hermes series, which features versatile specifications, this model incorporates traditional 70's specifications in various parts, resulting in rich bass and crisp treble.
The combination of two volume controls allows for precise control over the volume of each pickup, greatly expanding the range of tonal variations a player can create.

- Neck -
The 20-fret fretboard produces a crisp, snappy, and punchy tone when using slap techniques.
The 4-string model, with its slightly more pronounced curved 10-finger fretboard, makes it easier to produce pleasing ghost notes, allowing you to play the powerful "chopper tone" that many players envision.
The 5-string model features a familiar 12″ fretboard, enabling smooth and powerful playing. It can produce a distinctive sound across various genres.
To accommodate various playing techniques and musical genres, the string height is set uniformly at every fret position, resulting in a powerful tone for forceful picking and a warm, enveloping tone for gentle fingering.

- Body -
Featuring a full-size body that can handle sharp and powerful inputs, it produces a dazzling tone. It boasts the boundless richness of bass characteristic of a full-size instrument, creating a thick, warm, and natural woody resonance.
The body is made of ash. The dry, punchy tone blends perfectly with the rich, powerful tone of the full-size shape.

- Pickups & Controls -
The bridge pickup utilizes a 70's-style position, which brings it closer to the bridge. When mixed with the neck pickup, it produces a clear and crisp tone.
Furthermore, when fingerpicking with your fingers resting on the bridge pickup, your picking position naturally shifts towards the bridge, allowing you to produce a tight, well-defined tone.

- Preamp & Hardware -
Instead of a pickup balancer, it employs a classic 2-volume control.
Pulling up the tone knob activates preamp bypass. Lightweight and reliable Hipshot components are used throughout, resulting in a natural sound.

Model: R70-4 (4-stroke)
Body: Full Size / Ash 2-Piece (Solid)
Neck : Maple, Thin Matte Nitro
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Fingerboard Radius: 10" (254R)
Nut Material: Tusq
Nut Width: 37mm
Fret: DHP24H, 20F
Scale: 864mm (34)
Body Finish: Poly
Hardware Color: Chrome
Bridge: Hipshot 20mm Spacing
Tuner: Hipshot License Ultra-Light
Pickups : DiMarzio 4HC in 70's Locations
Preamp : Kikuchi Guitars Original Preamp
Controls: Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, Passive Roll Off Tone (w/ Pull Switch for Preamp Bypass), Treble/Bass Boost
String : D'Addario Nickel .045 - .105
Body Color: Dark Lake Placid Blue
*Semi-hard case included
