The neck shape is the ultra-slim V-shape characteristic of Clapton models, making it easy to grip, and the smooth satin finish reduces stress during playing. Since Eric himself does not use the tremolo arm, the bridge is secured with pieces of wood sandwiched between the five springs from the time of arrival.
