872075
SUBDECAY USED OS-1 Octasynth
Octasynth converts the input guitar sound into a square wave that unisons at three octaves: two octaves lower, one octave lower, and the same pitch as the original sound, and outputs it through a resonant filter.
The resulting sounds are just like those of an old analog synthesizer or a broken synthesizer.

The Octasynth responds differently depending on the guitar and playing style.
It usually works best with the front pickup. With some guitars, using the front pickup in particular can slightly reduce the high frequencies.
Furthermore, this pedal becomes irreplaceable depending on your playing style. For example, with muted playing, you can achieve funky bass sounds, and with continuous staccato playing, you can play low notes and get dreamy filter sweeps.

The Octasynth's filter is controlled by the Depth knob and the strength of your picking.
As the sound decays, the filter's movement also decreases. The movement will vary depending on the settings and playing style.

The Octasynth is constructed entirely from analog circuitry. Furthermore, the Octasynth is monophonic (monaural).
Therefore, it always tracks only one note at a time and does not support chords.
Therefore, when playing power chords, they can sometimes produce a really strange sound. With 9th or diminished chords, the sound doesn't break down as much, and they sound more like splashing water.

control
Octasynth's controls make it easy to create sounds quickly.

Blend: Adjusts the mix of the 3-octave voices. Turning it to the left adds a tone two octaves lower, turning it to the right adds one octave lower, and around the center, it creates a tone that mixes three octaves: two octaves lower, one octave lower, and the original pitch.

Depth: Adjusts the filter range. Turning it to the right increases the filter's cutoff range (highest frequency). This control can be a little more difficult to manage, especially when playing low notes. At its minimum setting, it will only produce sounds below the audible range (i.e., no sound). You will need to turn it slightly to the right to produce sound. This is to prevent sound from being produced when you are not playing the guitar.

Res: Adjusts the filter's resonance feedback. Turning it to the right increases the filter's cutoff frequency. When turned all the way to the right, it produces a sound close to oscillation.

Level: Adjusts the volume.

Octasynth is optimized for electric guitars. It is not recommended for instruments such as bass guitars.

The Octasynth can be used with a 9-12V, center-negative, 2.1mm bullet plug adapter. We recommend using the One Control EPA-2000.

Condition: No problems with use. Parts requiring acknowledgment: None. Accessories: Box. Warranty: No warranty.
