When it was first released in 1961, the Casino was just one model in a new thinline archtop series designed and produced at Epiphone's new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. That factory was shared with Gibson, a former rival with whom Epiphone had just formed a partnership.

The situation changed dramatically when Keith Richards used a Casino while recording the demo for "Satisfaction" at Chess Records in Chicago during the Rolling Stones' 1965 US tour. Howlin' Wolf used a Casino on his first UK tour and appeared on the TV show "Thank Your Lucky Stars." Shortly after, John Lennon and George Harrison of the Beatles bought a Casino for their 1966 world tour, and the rest, as you all know, is history. This guitar features Epiphone PRO P-90 dog-ear single-coil pickups and a layered maple body. It comes in two colors: natural and vintage sunburst. An Epiphone premium gig bag is included.

Body
Shape: Casino
Material: Layered Maple
Binding: Single-ply Top, Back, and Neck

Neck
Neck: Okoume (Gaboon Mahogany) or Sapelli (Sapelli Mahogany)
Profile: SlimTaper (TM) 60s C
Nut width: 1.69/43mm
Fingerboard: Indian Laurel
Scale length: 24.75/628.65mm
Number of frets: 22
Nut: Graph Tech

Hardware
Bridge: LockTone Tune-O-Matic
Tailpiece: Diamond Trapeze
Knobs: Gold Top Hat with Silver Inserts
Tuners: Epiphone Vintage Deluxe
Plating: Cockel

Electronics
Neck pickup: Epiphone PRO P-90
Bridge pickup: Epiphone PRO P-90
Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone
