A beautiful used Uni-Verb has arrived!
Jay Rocket Audio Designs, a high-end effects brand from California, USA, has released the Uni-Verb, a pedal that brings new uniqueness and practicality to the table.
The Univerve is a pedal based on the idea of a legendary effect from over 50 years ago that became a household name overnight due to the unique sound it produced.The vibrato/chorus effect section has been evolved using current technology, and reverb has also been added, taking five years of development time.
It faithfully captures the distinctive sound of the original that inspired it, and adds the sound of a classic, high-quality spring reverb unit from the 1950s. The Univerve offers more user-friendly settings for the vibe section than the original, a wider range of vibrato or chorus effect speeds, and slightly higher output.
The send/return terminals of this unit have a signal that passes through a vibrato/chorus circuit before being output from the send output terminal, and the signal input from the return input terminal passes through a reverb circuit before being finally output from the output terminal.
This means you can add reverb to the final sound you've set with your amp and other effects.
The Univerve is powered by a DC9V (9 volts direct current) power supply, but because it is internally boosted to 24V, there is no need for special cables or power supplies; you can use a commonly available DC9V power supply*.
Furthermore, this unit features a true bypass design that outputs the signal without passing through unnecessary circuits when the effect is off.
