Used OC-5 now in stock!

The new standard in octave pedals

The OC-5 is the definitive octave pedal, combining traditional BOSS octave sound with cutting-edge tracking technology. VINTAGE mode faithfully recreates the sound of the legendary OC-2, a monophonic octave pedal released in 1982, while POLY mode offers an even wider, more stable range. With the addition of a new +1 octave sound, the OC-5 offers a full three-octave range. Whether you're looking for a fat monophonic octave or a shifted chord, the OC-5 offers the widest range, ultimate playability, and refined octave sound.

An octave pedal that delivers stunning performance
Equipped with BOSS's latest real-time processing technology, the OC-5 is the most expressive octave pedal ever, delivering exceptional sound and playability. With zero latency, you get pristine, precise performance. It also supports a wider polyphonic range than its predecessor. The OC-5 is a high-performance pedal that covers all your octave pedal needs.

Classic tone in VINTAGE mode
In 1982, the OC-2 debuted as the world's first modern octave pedal. Its warm, powerful sound can be heard on many classic albums, and it continues to be loved by guitarists and bassists worldwide. The OC-5's VINTAGE mode utilizes cutting-edge tracking technology to deliver the OC-2's iconic monophonic sound with a more natural response. Two LEVEL knobs adjust the volume of the -1 and -2 octave sounds, respectively. The DIRECT LEVEL knob also allows you to balance the direct and effect sounds, giving you ultimate control over your sound.

Enhanced Poly Mode
Another feature of the OC-5 is its smart POLY mode, which further evolves the polyphonic octave first introduced in the OC-3 Super Octave and fully supports chord playing. The RANGE knob lets you specify the frequency range of the effect, allowing you to precisely generate the desired -1 octave sound for melodic lines and chords. You can also obtain the octave sound only on the lowest note of a chord by setting the RANGE knob to LOWEST.

Newly equipped with +1 octave sound
The OC-5 offers a +1 octave sound in both VINTAGE and POLY modes. It's versatile enough to simulate the sparkling sound of a 12-string guitar, add thickness to chords by combining it with a -1 octave sound, or even create a fat unison sound with the +1 octave added for increased presence in solos.

GUITAR/BASS Switch and DIRECT OUT Jack: The GUITAR/BASS switch on the pedal allows you to optimize the tracking engine for guitar or bass, delivering optimal performance. The DIRECT OUT jacks also make it easy to output the direct and effect sounds separately to a mixer, audio interface, or two stage amplifiers.
